2006 Naiades Verdejo

Naiades is a barrel-fermented Spanish white wine of 100% Verdejo from Rueda, the only white wine appellation of Castile-Leon. This wine recently received a 90-point rating from Dr. Jay Miller of The Wine Advocate! Naiades comes from a single parcel of ungrafted Verdejo vines planted in the 19th century in La Seca, the most highly esteemed village in Rueda. These rare ancient vines produce extraordinary grapes which have been sculpted into a true gem in the world of white wines.

Naiades is light yellow-gold in color with aromas of ripe melons and pears, lemon-lime, vanilla and honeysuckle. It is medium-full in body with moderate acidity and mouthfilling flavors of citrus, kiwi and grapefruit. Well balanced to enjoy in its youth, it offers a long, elegant finish.
