2005 Ardevol Coma d'en Romeu

Ardevol Coma d’en Romeu is a beautiful red wine gem from the prestigious Priorat region of Spain. The Ardevol family has been growing vines in the village of Porrera since the 13th century. Coma d’en Romeu is a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Syrah and 10% Grenache. It was aged for 22 months in lightly toasted Alliers barrels. Ardevol Coma d’en Romeu is dark ruby in color with intense aromas of red berries, cherries, violets and forest notes. The wine is full-bodied with elegant tannins and well integrated oak, offering rich flavors of black raspberries, cassis and blueberries. It is well balanced with a long, soft, flavorful finish.
