2010 Le Bourcier Macon Cuvee Elena

Le Bourcier Macon Cuvee Elena is a special cuvee made by Jean-Luc Terrier and Christian Collovray of Domaine des Deux Roches. It is 100% Chardonnay made from a selection of some of the northernmost vineyards of the appellation. It is both an excellent example of Macon and a fine value in white Burgundy. The New York Times Tasting Panel awarded 2 1/2 stars to Le Bourcier Macon Cuvee Elena 2005 calling it "well balanced and crisp with citrus, apple, mineral and herb flavors." We just call it a beautiful white wine gem!

Le Bourcier Macon Cuvee Elena is medium-full in body, yellow-gold in color, crisp and clean with no oak. With hints of citrus and white stone fruit on the palate and balanced acidity, the wine resembles the more exalted whites of the Cote d’Or. It is long and flavorful on the finish.
