2007 Longview Red Bucket Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc

Longview Vineyard is an exciting new addition to our portfolio from the Adelaide Hills region of South Australia. Longview Vineyard is just south of the historic township of Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills, about 40 minutes southeast of the city of Adelaide. We recently had the pleasure of tasting new releases with Peter Saturno, whose family now owns this property. The Red Bucket wines we tasted, both red and white, were simply stunning values. This Red Bucket Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc, creating a beautiful white wine gem reminiscent of Bordeaux. The concentrated tropical fruit of Sauvignon Blanc is tempered by the restrained citrus of cool-climate Semillon.

Longview Red Bucket Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is elegant and refreshing with a nose of citrus, stone fruit and mineral notes. Medium in body with crisp acidity, it is long and balanced on the finish.
