Product Description
NEW 2009 VINTAGE DUE MID-AUGUST 2009! Please call or e-mail to pre-order.
Stellenbosch, South Africa
Mulderbosch Rose is the perfect wine to usher in the warmer days of springtime. This wine gem is a beautiful rosé made of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Stellenbosch region of South Africa. The Mulderbosch winery dates back to 1692. New ownership in 1989 is dedicated to preserving the pristine state of the vineyards by practicing holistic farming. Winemaker Mike Dubrovic hails from a Yugoslavian family who have been pressing grapes for over 300 years. Steve Tanzer rated the 2006 vintage of this wine 89 points (new 2009 not yet rated) and called it a "very sexy rose that should be perfect for the dinner table...a superb value."
Mulderbosch Rose is a brilliant strawberry-red in color with an aromatic nose of grapefruit, strawberries, guava, lavender and thyme. It is delightfully crisp and clean with medium body and flavors of dried berries and pomegranate. No oak. The finish is long, flavorful and refreshing.
Enjoy Mulderbosch Rose now and over the next 3-4 years as the perfect patio aperitif wine. It will accompany Cobb salad, roast chicken, baked ham, grilled swordfish and mild cheeses.
