Pikes Riesling is a great way to get acquainted with the noble Riesling grape, a true gem in the world of wines. Pikes was established in 1984 by Edgar and Neil Pike in the beautiful Clare Valley wine region of South Australia, near the city of Adelaide. The winery owns 140 acres of vineyards. The English Pike fish featured on all Pikes wine labels is a symbol of the family’s long heritage. This Riesling earned an impressive 94 points from James Halliday. Jay Miller of Wine Advocate calls Pikes “one of the top producers of the Clare Valley, known for their elegant style of winemaking.” In our estimation, Pikes Riesling is a true white wine gem!

Pikes Riesling is a brilliant yellow-green in color with a beautiful nose of orange blossom, grapefruit, lemon zest and mineral notes. This medium-bodied white is dry on the palate and beautifully balanced with its crisp acidity. It offers rich flavors of lemon-lime, pear, apple and spice. It is 100% Riesling fermented in stainless steel, with no oak. This wine is elegant and complex, with a long, zesty finish. Pikes Rieslings are known to reward cellaring.
