Tardieu-Laurent Cotes du Rhone Villages Les Becs Fins is a true red wine gem from the southern Rhone of France. This red blend of equal parts Grenache and Syrah comes from 25-to-50-year-old vines in pebble-covered red soil in the Gard region. Michel Tardieu is the masterful Provencal winemaker behind his critically acclaimed wines. La Maison Tardieu-Laurent began as a venture with Burgundy negociant Dominique Laurent and is based in the charming village of Lourmarin in the Luberon.

Tardieu-Laurent Cotes du Rhone Villages Les Becs Fins is deep ruby red in color, offering a fragrant nose of raspberries, cassis, vanilla, spice, and violets. It is full-bodied with moderate acidity and lean tannins. The wine shows robust flavors of black currant, blackberry, raspberry, vanilla, and white pepper. It was aged in stainless steel and bottled unfiltered. Beautifully balanced to enjoy now and over the next 6-7 years, the 2008 vintage shows unusual concentration of fruit. The wine is long and perfumed on the finish.
