2007 Vinos Sin-Ley M5 Monastrell

Vinos Sin-Ley M5 is 100% Monastrell from the Yecla region of Spain. Vinos Sin-Ley was created in 2003 by Emili Esteve from Catalonya, and Manuel Martinez from Madrid. In 2005 additional winemakers joined the group, presenting new cuvees that offer novelty and value to the market. Vinos Sin-Ley means “Wines Without Law” in translation. The twofold objective of Vinos Sin-Ley is to create “new wines” that are value oriented. The result is fresh fruit-driven flavors that are different from those achieved in the past. Composed of a group of young winemakers from different regions in Spain, the wines crafted at Vinos Sin-Ley are value-oriented, driven by experimentation and innovative insight. This 2007 vintage received a 91-point rating from Robert Parker, a true wine gem for the price!

Vinos Sin-Ley M5 Monastrell was made by winemaker Araceli Gonzalez. It is deep red-purple in color with a nose of fresh blackberries, black raspberries and kirsch. It is rich and dense on the palate with expressive ripe fruit showing youthful texture. Aged in stainless steel tanks; only 2100 cases produced. On the finish, it is long and complex with polished tannins.
