Description

Bordeaux, France

Chateau La Braulterie Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux Blanc is a beautiful white wine gem from this subregion of Bordeaux. The property is located in the heart of the appellation Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux on the right bank of the Gironde, and it has grown over the generations to an area of 38 hectares. Under Olivier David, it is still family-operated with Olivier in the vineyard, Marie-Helene in the winery and Sylvie in the tasting room. This wine is a traditional blend of 85 % Sauvignon and 15% Sémillon grown organically on siliceous clay from outstanding vineyards at the highest point in the appellation.

Chateau La Braulterie Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux Blanc is pale straw yellow in color with light-medium body and crisp acidity. This dry white offers striking aromas and flavors of citrus and mineral notes. It is nicely balanced to be enjoyed now and over the next 4-5 years. The wine is bright and refreshing on the finish.

Enjoy Chateau La Braulterie Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux Blanc with grilled shrimp, filet of sole, roast chicken, ratatouille, and mild cheeses.
