The Poggio Le Volpi Estate was established in the 90s by Felice Mergè, a man of unusually keen insight. The young oenologist is Armando Mergè’s son, who is the third generation of the branch of a family whose progenitor is Mario Mergè. Mario Mergè began his work back in the 20s, concentrating mainly on viticulture and olive growing and marketing his products. Poggio Le Volpi has an image which is second to none for the quality and elegance of its wines.
Drinking in company is one of the pleasures of life. People Cesanese is a wine to share, born to enrich everyday food on the table. Poggio Le Volpi People Cesanese is made primarily of Cesanese, one of the most traditional and representative red grapes of the central south of Lazio. This wine is deep and bright ruby red. Intense on the nose with sensations of ripe red fruits, cherries, red flowers and spicy notes. Smooth in the mouth, pleasantly tannic, well balanced, and very long on the finish.
Enjoy Poggio Le Volpi People Cesanese over the next 4-6 years with lasagna, grilled lamb, chicken and pork, steaks, medium-aged cheeses and preparations with mushrooms.
