Description

Columbia Valley, Washington

Chateau Ste Michelle Indian Wells Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful Cab from Washington’s Columbia Valley. Founded in 1934, Chateau Ste. Michelle pioneered vinifera grape growing in Washington state and has been producing classic European varietal wines under the Ste. Michelle label since 1967. The winery combines an ongoing dedication to research with a commitment to classic winemaking traditions. The winery owns 3,500 acres of vineyards in the Columbia Valley of eastern Washington, including Canoe Ridge Estate and Cold Creek, which are the largest sustainably farmed and LIVE and Salmon Safe certified vineyards in the state. Chateau Ste. Michelle enjoys winemaking partnerships with three of the world’s most distinguished vintners. Col Solare is an alliance with Tuscany’s Piero Antinori, Eroica Riesling is a partnership with the Mosel’s Ernst Loosen, and Tenet, a project with acclaimed Rhone winemaker Michel Gassier, with the assistance of Southern Rhone’s famous enology consultant, Philippe Cambie.

Chateau Ste Michelle Indian Wells Cabernet Sauvignon is 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah, and 1% Chardonnay. Nearly half of the fruit (46%) was sourced from our Cold Creek Vineyard, one of Washington’s oldest and warmest sites. 16% of the fruit was sourced from Wahluke Slope, a region known for rich, ripe reds. 15% of the fruit came from Horse Heaven Hills vineyards. Fruit from Red Mountain, Snipes Mountain and Yakima Valley also contributed to the blend. Created in the luscious, opulent New World style, ensuring their distinctively rich, round and full-bodied flavor profile. Specially selected and carefully aged, this premier Cabernet Sauvignon showcases a lush texture and concentrated flavors of blackberry and black cherry. Aged for 24 months in 68% neutral oak, 19% new America oak and 13% new French oak.

Enjoy Chateau Ste Michelle Indian Wells Cab over the next 6-8 years with steak, grilled lamb, burgers, and rich vegetarian dishes.
