Lambrusco Emilia, Emilia Romagna, Italy
Fizi Lambrusco Frizzante Secco is a lightly sparkling (frizzante) dry red wine. Fizi comes from the Reggio Emilia area of Emilia Romagna and is comprised of a blend of three grapes, Lambrusco Salamino, Lambrusco Maestri, and Lambrusco Marani. We like to think of it as the perfect wine for a party filled with friends, music and simple food.
Fizi Lambrusco comes from vineyards in Novellara and it is in the Secco style so it is basically dry but with 12g RS for a perfect balance. Intense ruby red color with a fruity nose, and on the palate it is fresh, lively and persistent with good body. 'This wine is dangerously drinkable!'
The wine is intense ruby red with a dense purple froth. It offers an impressive, vinous aroma reminiscent of violets and ripe raspberries and blackberries. On the palate it is dry, soft with pleasant tannins, full bodied with flavors of leather, blackberries and black olive, and a beautifully long finish.
Enjoy Fizi Lambrusco Frizzante with pizza, salami, pasta and aged cheeses.
