Piaugier Cotes du Rhone Villages Sablet is a beautiful Grenache blend from vineyards surrounding the town of Sablet in the southern Rhone. Domaine de Piaugier calls the Côtes du Rhône village of Sablet home. In and around this village known for its sandy soils (sable = sand in French), the Autran family owns 30 hectares of vines dominated by Grenache but accompanied by assorted red and white Rhône varieties.

Piaugier Cotes du Rhone Villages Sablet is a red blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah farmed using organic methods and harvested by hand. The Grenache is fermented in concrete tank and the Syrah is vinified in barriques of various ages. The wine is aged in a combination of concrete and used barriques. 2600 cases produced.
