Gilbert Picq Chablis is a beautiful white wine gem from this world-renowned appellation in Burgundy, showing off the natural beauty of the Chardonnay grape. The Domaine of Gilbert Picq et Ses Fils is one of the lovely, small, up-and-coming producers that dot the Chablisienne landscape. Located in the village of Chichée, just to the southeast of Chablis proper, the Picq family has cultivated its small parcels of vines for several generations, with father Gilbert now having handed over the reins to his two sons, Didier and Pascal, and his daughter Marilyn Picq. This wine is hand-harvested from a collection of hillside vineyards averaging 20 years in age.

Picq Chablis offers super classic Chablis character showing green fruit with citrus aromas. It is saline in character with a rich mid-palate. Delicious and sappy--a terrific quality at this level. It is well balanced and ready to be enjoyed now and over the next 5-7 years. The wine has nice length and complexity on the finish.
