Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain The Canary Islands, located off the coast of Morocco but technically a part of Spain, form a backdrop for some of the most unlikely yet wondrous vineyards for producing fine wines in the entire world. Soco is the volcanic stone wall that is built by hand to protect from the wind around the traditional hole where the vines are cultivated. They are marvelous works of art, highly functional sculptures that must be kept in perfect condition all year round. Soco Vinicola Blanco Lanzarote is a white wine made with local varieties Malvasía Volcanica, Listán Blanco, and Diego. Spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts and without additives to maintain its natural typicity. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperature and remains there until bottling (approx. 4 months). *Some bottles may show small natural precipitations due to little intervention in the cellar. This white blend drinks like a Chablis, with bright acidity, distinctive minerality, and notes of stone fruit, pear, and orange blossom. Organically grown, low-intervention natural wine. Enjoy Soco Blanco Lanzarote over the next 6-8 years with tapas, grilled swordfish, roast chicken and soft cheeses.
