The "Terre del Barolo" winery is located in the valley running between Alba and Barolo. The cooperative brings together around four hundred growers, who own approximately 650 hectares of the great vineyards of the Langhe. Aromas of juniper, violet, lavender, kirsch and iron mark this solid, densely built red. Shows a core of sweet, ripe fruit, but the structure is showing today as this winds down on the long, licorice, tar and underbrush finish. Aged 38 months, including at least 18 in wood. “Very attractive nose of ripe plums, dark cherries and dried roses. Quite rich, suave and concentrated, with fine-grained tannins and ample spice.
