Decanter 90 points! Wine Enthusiast 90 points!
Berlucchi Freccianera Franciacorta Brut, a dry sparkling wine made of 60% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Bianco, and 10% Pinot Nero, is a delightful alternative to Champagne at roughly half the price! Fratelli Berlucchi is one of the oldest and best preserved cellars in Franciacorta. Restored in the Seventies, its authentic vaults from the 1300s brought to light frescoes from various periods, the oldest dating back to the 1500s. The vineyards cover about 70 hectares of vines. With around 400,000 cases of Franciacorta produced yearly, Berlucchi is one of the largest Italian producers of bottle-fermented sparkling wine. The winery practices sustainable farming.
Berlucchi Freccianera Franciacorta Brut using the Franciacorte method of refermentation in bottle with 60 months on the yeasts. The wine is straw yellow with golden hues, fine and persistent in the mouth with notes of hazelnut, balsamic and citrus. Enjoy this sparkling wine as the perfect aperitif and with every course of a meal, including desserts.
