Alkoomi Cabernet Merlot is a beautiful red blend from the Frankland River region of Western Australia. For Sandy and Rod Hallett, together with their daughters and devoted team, Alkoomi is their heart, their home, and their passion. Their 1200-hectare farm has been home to the family since 1946 and has evolved from a grain and livestock farm to a thriving and sustainable vineyard and innovative winery.

Alkoomi Cabernet Merlot is a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Merlot, estate fruit harvested in the early morning hours. The grapes were cold soaked prior to fermentation and then matured for 12 months in French oak to build complexity. On the nose, the wine offers bay leaves, red fruit, rich plum, and sweet spice. Medium-bodied with bright red fruits, soft tannins, and savory notes on the finish.
