Simonsberg-Paarl, South Africa
Bloem Syrah Mourvedre is a beautiful red blend from the Western Cape. The South African winelands lie at the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom, the smallest but most biodiverse of the world's six floral kingdoms. Bloem wines, derived from the Dutch word for "flower", capture the essence of this unique and dynamic ecosystem with refreshing fruit aromas, clean, creamy flavors, and a hint of exotic spice. The winemaker is Kristopher Tillery.
Syrah and Mourvèdre are natural partners, having grown together in the Rhône valley for thousands of years. In this Bloem blend of 91% Syrah and 9% Mourvedre, black currant and cherry fruit aromas are balanced with exotic spice and earthy undertones. The wine is smooth with a dry, lingering finish. It was aged for 9 months in French oak. Certified sustainable and vegan.
Enjoy Bloem Syrah Mourvedre with lamb chops, BBQ beef ribs, steak and aged cheeses.
