Wine Spectator Top 100 #86, 90 points!
Boundary Breaks Dry Riesling No. 239 is a beautiful dry Riesling from a single vineyard on the eastern side of Seneca Lake in upstate New York. Seneca Lake is the deepest of the eleven Finger Lakes in Central New York. Even though winter temperatures can fall below zero, Seneca Lake rarely freezes over. Cool-climate varieties include Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Cabernet Franc. Boundary Breaks grows each of these varieties and produces wines that express the full range styles that are possible from such classic grapes. Boundary Breaks Dry Riesling No. 239 is single vineyard, single clone, estate grown. Aged in stainless steel for 6 months; residual sugar 0.6%; Alcohol 12.1%.
“A bright, floral style with lots of honeysuckle and acacia notes leading the way for lemon peel and yellow apple fruit flavors, followed by a zingy finish. Drink now through 2024. 2,500 cases made.” — JM, Wine Spectator, 90 points!
