Castel Juval Riesling Gletcherschliff is a beautiful dry Riesling from the Trentino-Alto Adige region of northern Italy. The farm winery Unterortl is situated on the Juval hill, in the lower Vinschgau valley near Naturno. Vision and pragmatism lead a small, but distinctive, company whose wines and spirits testify to the unique qualities of the Juval hill. The grapes come from our Riesling vineyards in Juval and from 3 other vineyards on the Sonnenberg in the Vinschgau valley, where the soil benefits from a unique microclimate, with high daytime temperatures and cool nights. These grapes come from young vineyards, which make such an elegant and clear wine.

Castel Juval Riesling Gletcherschliff has all the distinctive characteristics of a Riesling produced in the southern Alps. It’s a stimulating wine with a scent of white peach and grapefruit. It’s particularly good young, or after one to two years of bottling.
