Chateau l’Esperance Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux is a beautiful red wine gem from the excellent 2016 vintage in Bordeaux. Château l'Espérance (Castle of Hope) is a family-owned and SUSTAINABLY managed vineyard located on the right bank of the Gironde estuary, north of Bordeaux. The property consists of 63 carefully selected parcels 40m above sea level in the hills of Blaye and Bourg. This vintage is a traditional blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Chateau l’Esperance Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux is a rich, powerful wine with silky tannins and aromas of ripe fruits. It is deep ruby red in color with aromas of cherries, blueberries, plum, and toast. Medium-full in body with gentle acidity, this Bordeaux offers rich flavors of plums, blueberries, and spice. It was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, giving the wine a beautiful aromatic complexity. It is nicely balanced to be enjoyed now and over the next 6-8 years. The wine is smooth and long on the finish.
