Douro, Portugal C. Da Silva "Dalva" is a very un-traditional Port Wine House. Founded in 1862, its present name was defined in the first decades of the twentieth century, when Mr. Clemente da Silva received the company through marriage. The company has devoted its entire existence to perfecting the art and methods of Port production and blending, through a careful selection of the best wines in each harvest, while carefully preserving the old and rare wines passed on to us from the previous generations. Dalva Colheita 1991 is a vintage tawny Port of Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz. It offers intense aroma and taste: fruit jelly, quince jam, spices, in the younger wines. With age the wine develops other tastes: nuts, cinnamon, coffee, but it is always fresh and elegant. Enjoy Dalva Colheita Port 1991 with soft and hard cheeses, desserts and almonds.
