Loire, France
Daniel Reverdy Sancerre is a beautiful white wine gem from this famous appellation of the Loire Valley of France made of 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Since 1979, Daniel Reverdy has worked diligently to replant his family’s land and by 2000 he had 7.5 hectares of vines. This beautiful domaine is situated in the hamlet of Chaudenay, in the commune of Verdigny. All of the vineyards used to make the wine are in proximity to the domaine, the furthest vineyard being just 2 km away.
Daniel Reverdy Sancerre is a straw yellow in color with medium body and crisp acidity. It shows floral notes and freshness framed with citrus and stone. Dry with no tannins and no oak, it offers clean flavors of grapefruit, minerals, and herbal notes. The wine was aged for 6 months on the full lees for greater weight. It is clean and refreshing with good length on the finish.
Enjoy Daniel Reverdy Sancerre over the next 3-4 years with grilled salmon, fried oysters, sushi, chicken salad and goat cheese.
