Edmond’s Honor Bourbon

Edmond's Honor starts as a premium, high corn mash-bill that is rested in American Oak casks, imbuing it with vanilla and toasted oak flavor. This Straight Bourbon whiskey is then finished in French Oak Cognac casks that previously held Madagascar Vanilla. Finally the whiskey is slow proofed, blended, and accentuated with a hint of Pure Madagascar Vanilla Essence to create a consistently rich, smooth, and complex sip.

Off the coast of Madagascar, on a small island of Bourbon (known today as Reunion) began the extraordinary tale of Edmond Albius, an untrained prodigy, who centuries ago, unlocked the secret to manually pollinating vanilla. At only twelve years old his natural curiosity transformed vanilla into a coveted world treasure and established a hand pollinating tradition that endures to this day. Edmond’s Honor pays tribute to this botanical genius.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: Gleaming golden liquid.

Aroma: Orange blossoms, brown sugar, cinnamon and a hint of toasted oak.

Taste: Bourbon vanilla, sandalwood, and candied almonds followed by warming allspice. The rich mouthfeel is accentuated by zesty citrus and wild honey notes.

Finish: Finishes with lingering notes of toasted baking spices and more Bourbon vanilla.
