Educated Guess is the flagship brand of Roots Run Deep, begun in 2005 when founder Mark Albrecht set out to answer a simple question: could great Napa Valley wine be both exceptional and accessible? More than twenty years later, Roots Run Deep still sources fruit primarily from Napa Valley vineyards, while also working with exceptional growers in Sonoma and other regions across California. This Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is one of them!

Educated Guess Sonoma Coast Chardonnay starts with cool-climate fruit from the fog-kissed vineyards of the Sonoma Coast — 100% barrel fermented, 100% malolactic fermentation (more on that below) — every decision made in service of one thing: a rich, creamy, deeply satisfying glass that still feels fresh. The coastal influence preserves enough natural acidity to keep everything lifted, while the barrel fermentation adds the richness and depth that makes this wine genuinely satisfying from the first sip to the last.

Honeysuckle, ripe pear, and a touch of tropical fruit on the nose. Ripe apple, warm baking spice, and a silky citrus-kissed finish on the palate. The kind of Chardonnay that works equally well with a beautifully set dinner table or a Wednesday night on the couch.
