Description

Cotes de Provence, France Fleur de l'Amaurigue Rosé is a delicious dry rosé from Domaine de l'Amaurigue in Provence. This blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Cinsault comes from a parcel selection of 20-year-old vines grown on exceptional terroir with clay-limestone soils in the heart of Provence. Domaine de l'Amaurigue has been owned by the De Groot Family since 1998. Dick and Eugénie as well as their two children, Fleur and Melvin, fell in love with the charms of this exceptional property. Fleur de l'Amaurigue Rosé is prototypical Provençal. The nose is dominated by citrus fruits. The palate is delicate and round with nice length. Its light salmon color, its powerful white peach and grapefruit aromas with a touch of apricots in the end make it very fresh and enjoyable. Wine Enthusiast rated this wine 89 points! "A blend of Grenache and Cinsault, this is as light as its color, with refreshing red-berry fruits and a touch of pepper. The wine dances elegantly and leaves a crisp, bright aftertaste." Enjoy Fleur de l'Amaurigue Rosé now and over the next 2-3 years as the perfect patio aperitif wine. It matches up beautifully with salade Nicoise, roast chicken, grilled shrimp and mild cheeses.
