It’s a delightfully classic expression of Volnay, carefully crafted by Marc-Olivier Buffet, the seventh generation of a vintner family who've been farming in Burgundy since 1692. Les Taillepieds takes its name from its steep slope and the sharp stones at the site. The vines are 80 years old, making this Premier Cru a step above the rest. This beautiful red of 100% Pinot Noir has serious intensity and a stunning, perfumed nose that complements silky tannins and abundant notes of red cherry, wild raspberry, and spice on the finish.
