VDP Cotes de Thau, Languedoc, France
Domaine Gaujal de Saint Bon Rosé Vin de Pays des Cotes de Thau is a beautiful dry rosé from this sub-region of the Languedoc in southern France. Domaine Gaujal Saint Bon is a small estate-bottled operation run with extreme diligence by the mother-daughter team of Simone and Virginie Gaujal. In addition to making this excellent rosé, they are proud defenders of Picpoul de Pinet, and endeavor to make the finest and truest expressions of the variety in the appellation. This lovely dry rosé is made from 100% Cinsault. The vineyards are located in close proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, not far from the beach resort of Sete, southwest of Montpellier.
Gaujal de Saint Bon Rosé is a beautiful summertime quaffer, bright pink, fresh and lush with a nose of raspberry, cherry, strawberry and spicy minerality. It is crisp and flavorful on the palate with medium body and notes of red berries, bing cherries, citrus, spice and no oak. The finish is long and refreshing.
Enjoy Gaujal de Saint Bon Rosé now and over the next 2-3 years with salade Nicoise, roast chicken, grilled shrimp and mild cheeses.
