Girard Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Napa Valley, California Girard Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful white wine gem from the Napa Valley of California. Thirty years after first planting its vineyards, Girard continues to produce wines reflecting the quality that has made Napa Valley the most famous New World wine-growing region in the world. Longtime California vintner Pat Roney purchased the winery shortly after the new millennium. The winemaker is Glenn Hugo. Girard Sauvignon Blanc is 100% Sauvignon Blanc fermented in stainless steel to maintain bright flavors that accentuate the ripeness of the fruit. Light-medium in body with nice balance, the wine showcases aromas of candied ginger, bright summer lemon curd and ripe grapefruit. The palate displays notes of guava, papaya, green apples and citrus. A slightly flinty and wet slate characteristic complements the crisp acidity. It is rich in flavor with a refreshingly smooth finish.
