Harken Barrel Fermented Chardonnay was created by founder Jeff O'Neill to offer a more affordable alternative in this rich style of Chardonnay. Jeff secured top-tier chardonnay grapes at a lower price by working with local growers in California wine country’s up-and-coming AVAs: Paso Robles, Monterey, and Clarksburg. Winemaker Adam Popp loves Chardonnay and has become an expert in barrel fermentation and barrel aging.

Harken Barrel Fermented Chardonnay offers beautiful aromas and flavors of creme brulee, buttered toast, and Bosc pear, nicely balanced with fresh acidity and just the right touch of oak.

The robust, rich flavor of Harken pairs well with nearly everything. It’s big enough to stand up to buttery dishes and complex enough for simple, elegant pasta.
