Hartford Family Winery was founded in 1994 as a result of Don and Jennifer Hartford’s appreciation for the wines, the people, and the unique vineyards near their Russian River Valley home. Located in the Sonoma County town of Forestville, the winery is about 15 miles from the cool Pacific Coast. “Our family makes Four Hearts Vineyards Chardonnay from vineyards located in distinct regions of the Russian River Valley AVA. These vineyards average over 40 years old and are planted with very diverse Chardonnay clonal selections that include old Wente, Sees, Rued and Arrendell field selections.”-Winery

“The 2020 Chardonnay Four Hearts Vineyard comes mostly from 45-year-old Wente vines in the Laguna Ridge neighborhood of the Russian River Valley. It was barrel fermented and matured for 11 months in 35% new French oak. It has a beautiful perfume of jasmine, white peaches, ginger and roasted almonds, plus touches of lemon cream and baking spice in the undercurrent. The medium-bodied palate surprises with its combination of intense fruits and focused, tangy acidity. Hartford Court Four Hearts Vineyards Chardonnay is a highly textured wine displaying aromas of yellow apple, honeysuckle and tangerine skin. Fresh flavors of Granny Smith apple and Meyer lemon are intertwined with layers of spice and crystallized ginger. A rich and weighty mid-palate is followed by a very long exotic, mineral-infused finish.
