Harvest Shiraz 2020

Australia Harvest Shiraz is a beautiful red wine gem from Down Under, made by First Creek Wines in the Hunter Valley region of Australia. First Creek Wines is a family owned and operated winery located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. The talented family of Hunter Valley wine makers is comprised of Liz, Shaun and Greg Silkman who, since May 2015 alone, have amassed 22 Trophies and 31 Golds across major Australian wine shows for the First Creek label. Optimum picked fruit was fermented in open fermenters and then matured in older, large format French oak barrels. Minimal winemaking intervention, combined with larger casks, highlights pure fruit characters without letting oak dominate. Harvest Shiraz is intense dark crimson red in color. It shows luscious red berry fruit with hints of spiced pepper and chocolate aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with well structured tannins and a smooth lingering finish.
