Wine Enthusiast 96 points - From master distiller Dave Pickerell, this estate-grown, field-to-flask offering makes good use of oloroso Sherry barrels. At nearly 93 proof, the alcohol makes its presence known, so add some water or vermouth if you must. Attractive and substantial squared bottle. .Kara Newman, July/2013
Ultimate Beverage Challenge 94 points - (Tried & True Award)- Burnished orange color. Really lovely and elegant fragrances of clove, cinnamon, baked pineapple, bacon fat, unsalted butter, cooking oil, wax paper all work in harmony. Finishes semisweet, toasted, sophisticated..April/2016
