Franschhoek, South Africa
Holden Manz Cabernet Sauvignon is a big red wine gem from the Franschhoek wine region of South Africa. Holden Manz wine estate is located above the Franschhoek valley overlooked by magnificent mountains which stand guard over the beautiful valley below. Situated between the Franschhoek and Stony Brook rivers, this 22-hectare wine estate, with its fertile and dark loam soils, produces superb wines in a state-of-the-art cellar.
Holden Manz Cabernet Sauvignon is a big ruby-colored red made of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Only 667 cases were produced. The wine shows an intense nose filled with cassis, blackberries and clove that complement the magnificent black fruit and extract of pepper and spice notes. Matured in barrique for 24 months. On the finish, it is long, rich and velvety.
Enjoy Holden Manz Cabernet Sauvignon with filet mignon, beef Bourguignon, roasted duck breast, thyme-roasted wild mushrooms and grilled polenta.
