Franschhoek, South Africa
Holden Manz Vernissage is a big red blend from the Franschhoek wine region of South Africa. Holden Manz wine estate is located above the Franschhoek valley overlooked by magnificent mountains which stand guard over the beautiful valley below. Situated between the Franschhoek and Stony Brook rivers, this 22-hectare wine estate, with its fertile and dark loam soils, produces superb wines in a state-of-the-art cellar.
Holden Manz Vernissage is a rich blend of 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Syrah, 21% Merlot, and 14% Cabernet Franc. This approachable wine has beautiful ripe, soft and silky tannins with good balance and a lingering finish. Black cherry, plums, tobacco, herbaceous notes and pencil shavings are prominent. Balanced acidity and vibrant flavors complement this elegant wine. It was aged for 18 months in 3rd-fill French oak barrels.
Enjoy Holden Manz Vernissage with steak, slow-cooked lamb stew with rich tomato herb and garlic sauce, roasted duck breast and aged cheeses.
