Description
Oregon & Washington
Horseshoes and Handgrenades is a new American Red Wine made by Mouton Noir Wines. Founded in 2004, Mouton Noir Wines are unique and distinctive garage wines produced by Andre H. Mack, former sommelier at Thomas Keller’s restaurants The French Laundry and Per Se.
Horseshoes & Handgrenades is a fruit-driven, full-bodied complex red blend sourced from Southern Oregon and Red Mountain, Washington. The rich, ripe, voluptuous fruit comes from the 2010 vintage and is a blend of Syrah and Tempranillo from Oregon with just enough Washington Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the acclaimed Klipsun Vineyard to give it complexity and structure. Packed with dark cherry, currant, and plum fruit and nuanced hints of espresso, tobacco, and cedar. Think cherry pits and leather whips! With beautifully integrated oak and fine balance, it finishes with impressive length and velvety smoothness.
Enjoy Horseshoes and Handgrenades over the next 7-8 years with roast duck, grilled chicken, BBQ ribs, pasta and aged cheeses.
