Houchart Rosé is a delightful dry rosé from Provence that's a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvèdre. Aurélien Houchart bought the family estate in Puyloubier in 1890. In 1984 his great-granddaughter Geneviève Quiot started to work the vineyard and gave the estate her great grandfather's name: Domaine Houchart. Today Florence and Jean-Baptiste Quiot are the fifth generation of the family to work on the property. The 200-acre estate lies at the foot of Mont Sainte Victoire near Aix-en-Provence.
Houchart Rosé is a pretty salmon-pink in color with elegant flavors of red berries, cherries, spice and mineral notes. It is beautifully crisp and flavorful on the palate with medium body and a long, clean finish.
Enjoy Houchart Rosé now and over the next 2-3 years as the perfect patio aperitif wine. It pairs nicely with salade Niçoise, roast chicken, sushi, pizza and mild cheeses.
