Hourglass Estate Sauvignon Blanc is a serious Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc from winemaker Tony Biagi and vintners Jeff & Carolyn Smith. It is a blend of 91% Sauvignon Blanc and 9% Semillon, aged in stainless steel tanks (40%), seasoned oak barrels (45%), and new French oak (15%). "Blending fruit from five renowned vineyards, the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc offers perfumed aromas of honey dew melon, Meyer lemon zest and peach blossom counterpointed by bright notes of Granny Smith apple, spearmint and freshly cut hay. On the palate, limeade, lemon meringue and Pippin apple intertwine with hints of brioche, honey and chamomile flowers.
