Description

Pfalz, Germany "A liter of the raciest, most energetic and appealingly mineralische Riesling imaginable."-David Bowler Kimich Riesling Kabinett Trocken Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker is a beautiful dry Riesling from the Pfalz region of Germany. Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker is a single vineyard site with a size of 121 hectares. 10% of the vineyard site is steep, 20% hilly and 70% flat. The soil varies between sandy loam and loamy sand, mixed with limestone rocks and red sandstone. The name "Herrgottsacker" is probably derived from the word "Gottesacker" (which is a former word for cemetery.) This interpretation from Kimich, a small, traditional, 8th generation estate, is an absurd value in the liter bottle (33% more wine)! 12% alcohol. Limited production. Kimich Riesling Kabinett Trocken Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker is a bright yellow color with green highlights; in the nose aromas of apple, yellow stone fruits and freshness; on the palate very harmonic, totally dry and refreshing. It was fermented in stainless steel, with no oak. This wine is elegant and complex, with a long, spicy finish. Enjoy Kimich Riesling Kabinett Trocken Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker over the next 5-7 years. From spicy Asian cuisine to tangy Arab cuisine to fine young raw milk cheeses, it can create plenty of suspense as an accompaniment.
