La Casaccia Chardonnay 2017

Piedmont, Italy La Casaccia Chardonnay Charno is a beautiful expression of the Chardonnay grape from Piedmont. La Casaccia is a family-operated, certified organic winery located in Cella Monte, Asti, Piedmont. Estate vineyards stretch over 8 Ha, concentrated in the village of Cella Monte, which stands out for its unique volcanic soil and optimal south/south-east exposure. Giovanni Rava and his wife Elena Bassignana acquired an 18th century villa named La Casaccia 20 years ago and gradually restored the main building and the cellar excavated into the local volcanic rock. The vineyard was soon converted to organic farming and is certified organic by CCPB. 100% unoaked Chardonnay from the mineral-rich soils of Piedmont, La Casaccia Chardonnay Charno is straw-yellow in color with a characteristic bouquet of apples and stone fruit.
