Corbieres, Languedoc, France Le P'tit Spencer Corbieres is a delicious dry red blend estate-bottled by Chateau Spencer La Pujade in the Corbieres appellation of the Languedoc in southern France. Christopher Spencer purchased the estate in 2007 to fulfill a long-standing dream. Christopher's vision is executed by Sébastien Bonneaud, who runs the estate and implements organic practices. The estate's 30 hectares are registered sustainable. We met Sébastien at Wine Gems in April 2016 to taste his range of beautiful wines and especially loved Le P'tit Spencer! Le P'tit Spencer Corbieres is a juicy blend of Carignan (50%), Mourvèdre (20%), Syrah (15%) and Grenache (15%). Deep red in color with sweet plum fruit and a delightful mineral overlay on the nose. The wine is medium-bodied with supple berry fruit, notes of spice and garrigue. It smooth with soft tannins and a long, juicy finish.
