Matanzas Creek Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful white wine gem from Sonoma County in California. Matanzas Creek has been dedicated to a genuine expression of Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc since 1977. The wine is primarily fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperature with the balance in neutral oak barrels. Matanzas Creek Sauvignon Blanc is savory and broad, bursting with vibrant and complex aromas and flavors. Kiwi and Key lime notes are strung delicately together against a background of lemon verbena and hints of citrus blossom. This wine has great tension - its elements are highly articulated, with layered acidity. It is clean, crisp and refreshing on the long finish.

 Matanzas Creek Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc is derived from nine different vineyards whose fruit has been individually harvested, fermented, and evaluated to create a shining example of what Sonoma County has to offer. Each vineyard expresses distinctive aromatics and textures in its fruit, from white pepper to pineapple, extending to the most perceptible aromas of pomelo, fresh passion fruit, lime, and lemon. Using a multitude of yeast strains, we are able to highlight the unique characteristics and plethora of flavors that each vineyard fosters in the final wine.
