Moissenet-Bonnard Cremant de Bourgogne is a sparkling wine gem of 100% Pinot Noir from a single 1-hectare plot southwest of Pommard in Burgundy. Moissenet-Bonnard is an estate of 5.5 hectares covering the Burgundy appellations of Pommard and Meursault. Winemaker Emmanuelle-Sophie officially took over the estate with the 2014 vintage after working alongside her father Jean-Louis for many years and receiving degrees in agronomy, biology, viticulture (along with her work at the family estate, she teaches these subjects at the college level).
Moissenet-Bonnard Cremant de Bourgogne comes from 60-year-old vines in gravelly-limestone soil. It is hand harvested with ambient yeast fermentation. 100% Malolactic fermentation. Elevage in stainless steel tanks. 15 months on lees with zero dosage. Disgorged 9 months before shipping. Méthode traditionnelle. Full-bodied, generously rich and possessing explosive concentration and fascinating complexity, these wines are to be savored.
