Vinous 90 points!
Moulin de Gassac Guilhem is a delightful dry rosé from the Languedoc wine region of southern France. The influence of limestone soils and Mediterranean Sea breezes is evident in this crisp, refreshing rosé perfect for spring and summer enjoyment. Mas de Daumas-Gassac practices organic agriculture and makes this wine from five hectares of vines near the oyster beds on the Mediterranean Sea.
“The 2022 Guilhem is airy and breezy, with the grace that makes it a real charmer. This pale-colored, beautifully textured Rosé is impeccable in its balance. Pretty floral notes fill out the mid-palate effortlessly. Despite its light color, the 2022 offers plenty of depth and tons of stylish appeal.” - Antonio Galloni, Vinous, 90 points!
Moulin de Gassac Guilhem is a blend of 35% Syrah, 35% Grenache, and 30% Carignan. Always one of the first rosés to hit the market, this traditional southern Rhone blend comes from 25-to-50-year-old vines grown along the Gassac River. It boasts a pleasant, intense nose with hints of strawberries. Full and round on the palate with red fruit flavors.
Enjoy Moulin de Gassac Guilhem rosé over the next 2-3 years on the patio with friends or paired with roast chicken, grilled snapper, steamers, Cobb salad and goat cheese.
