Description
Galilee, Israel
Mount Hermon Cabernet Sauvignon is a dry red of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon produced and bottled by Golan Heights Winey. After planting vineyards in the Golan in 1976, the Golan Heights Winery was established in 1983 by four kibbutzim (collective communities) and four moshavim (cooperative communities). In 1984, the Winery released its first wine creating great excitement in Israel and abroad. Golan Heights Winery cultivates over 600 hectares (1500 acres) of vines across 28 vineyards which are divided into 430 vineyard blocks. The Mount Hermon brand represents Golan Heights Winery’s ambition to offer terroir-driven, Mediterranean wines at a phenomenal price.
Mount Hermon Cabernet Sauvignon is made from fruit harvested from vineyards in the Golan Heights and one vineyard in the Upper Galilee. We limited the time on skins to produce a wine displaying classic varietal character and great everyday drinkability. It presents pleasing fruit aromas of fresh raspberries, cherries, plums and blueberries, intermingling with attractive notes of spices and herbs. With medium body and nice varietal character, this flavorful wine makes a great everyday Cab. Kosher for Passover.
Enjoy Mount Hermon Cabernet Sauvignon over the next 4-5 years with beef brisket, grilled chicken, pasta and aged cheeses.
