Muses Estate Mouhtaro is a beautiful introduction to one of the many intriguing red varietals of Greece. The very rare red grape Mouhtaro is grown exclusively in the area of Askri, at the foot of Helicon mountain, in Central Greece. Muses Estate was the first winery to revive this variety thanks to the efforts of Athanasios Zacharias. The vineyards are located at an altitude between 450 and 550m and have a slope between 3% and 7%. The philosophy on the Muses Estate is to make wines that are in perfect harmony with the ecosystem.

Muses Estate Mouhtaro is 100% Mouhtaro. It is deep purple in color with aromas of ripe red fruits and spices, a full body, mild, silky tannins and a pronounced acidity. The wine was aged for 12 months in 2- & 3-year used 225L oak barrels and 6 months in bottle before release. It is long and pleasing on the finish.
