Rubicone IGT, Emilia Romagna, Italy
Nespoli Borgo dei Guidi is a beautiful red wine gem from Emilia Romagna. Poderi dal Nespoli is located in the Bidente Valley, on the hills of Forlì, about 177 meters above sea level, an area that connects the Apennines to the Adriatic coast. Historical point of passage, this land offers places of naturalistic interest, such as the Park of Casentino Forests, and excellent pedoclimatic characteristics for the production of high quality wines.
Nespoli Borgo dei Guidi is a blend of 51% Sangiovese and 49% Cabernet Sauvignon. A soft and round wine, which has a deep ruby red color and a long and intense perfume of red fruits, blackberry jam, sweetened by spicy notes of licorice. Full and concentrated in the palate but well-balanced with fine and elegant tannins, thanks also to the ageing process in French barriques.
Enjoy Nespoli Borgo dei Guidi over the next 6-8 years with grilled steak, sausage and peppers, and aged cheeses.
