"A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the PietraNova 2015 Bolgheri Superiore Renzo shows the best balance to my palate in this group of three releases. There is a lot of ripeness in those other wines, but the Renzo is slightly more restrained, which is nice, owing perhaps to the neutral or used oak here. Blackberry and plum cedes to spice, leather and tar. The Cabernet Sauvignon adds linearity and tighter contouring here. This was a release of 2,800 bottles."--Monica Larner, Wine Advocate 91 points!
