North Fork of Long Island, New York Race Merlot is a delightful red wine perfect for year-round enjoyment with good food and friends, especially in summer (sailboat optional!) The new Race wines are crafted by veteran North Fork winemaker Greg Gove at Lenz Winery in Peconic, NY. This Merlot shows finesse, balance and subtle complexity. Race Merlot offers aromas of cherry, strawberry, cocoa and vanilla oak. On the palate you'll find rich flavors of red berries, cocoa, coffee with soft tannins and a nice, long finish.
